The ThunderCats line was based on the animated television series aired in 1985. Each
figure had an action feature of some sort, and the line also included a unique
"laser" light-up feature that interacted between the Cats Lair playset,
PVC companions were packaged with some figures in 1986, including WilyKat with
Tygra, WilyKit with Cheetara, Snarf with Lion-O, and Ma-Mutt with Mumm-Ra.
The character's presence has extended beyond his
origins to Clothing and Accessories , Bags and Briefcases Hats , Keychains ,
Outerwear , Scarves and Ties ,Shirts, Watches, Collectibles, Chess Sets ,
Miscellaneous products, Sculptures , Desk and Book Accessories, Bookmarks ,
Calendars , Journals and Stationery ,Sheet Music ,Bedding , Home Decor , Mugs &
Glassware ,Ornaments ,Wall Hangings , Jewelry, Bracelets, Earrings , Necklaces ,
Pins , Rings ,Watches , Party Bundles, Posters & Prints, School Supplies, Bags
and Briefcases, Bookmarks , Journals and Stationery , Lunchboxes , Toys & Games,
Action Figures, Diecast Figures and Sculptures, Chess Sets, Dolls , Games ,
Plush , Puzzles and Trading Cards. LJN did produce a few variant figures including the young Tygra version and the
silver rat-eye daggers for Rataro. The third series of figures from 1987
are harder to find along with the Tongue-A-Saurus and Astral Moat Monster.
Driller and Stinger are the toughest figures to track down
